Ian Bowman is a computer programmer and software designer who is currently advising and helping with the IT for BlackWatch.Tech. He has being writing code and programming for over 10 years and has worked for a number of larger tech companies. We are so thankful for him to be apart of BlackWatch.Tech.
Our CEO is from Nova Scotia and studied at St. Mary's University for business and then UBC for grad studies in Economics. Having successfully run 2 past companies, he is using that experience to build BlackWatch.Tech into a leading Canadian safety equipment company.
Canadian Army: Started in the 84th Artillery unit as a Gunner, received 'Gunner of the Year' awarded for top Soldier in his unit. After 5 years in a combat unit switched over to the logistics branch and did supply work in the Army. Did a tour in Afghanistan 2012-2013 and was awarded and Canadian Decoration for his time in the forces.
Real Estate Investing. House flipping and large apartment buildings in Yarmouth, Halifax, and Calgary. Most noteworthy buildings were 5579-5589 Morris St Halifax, a 48 room student housing project bought in 2007 and cleaned up and sold a few years later for a massive return.
A small hot tub business selling hot tubs across Canada via drop ship. The business did well and was bought to another health company in Halifax.
Ran a 330 unit apartment complex downtown Toronto ON learn how to manage much larger projects.
Bought a small bathroom vanity store in Pompano Beach Florida that was about to be closed. Turned the store around over the first year and brought the average monthly sales from $30k to over $75k while greatly reducing the overhead and then bought out by a competitor for a very healthy profit.
